Otoplasty

Otoplasty is the outpatient procedure performed to correct abnormally formed and positioned ears (auricles). An incision is used behind the ear to allow permanent sutures to be placed in a custom fashion to create a natural appearing ear that is positioned the appropriate distance from the head and at the proper angle. Ear symmetry is essential. The discomfort is minimal. The reward is great and much appreciated by patients and families.
