Brenda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Illinois State University in 1980. She went on to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where she received her Master of Science degree in Audiology in 1982. Ms. Tolbert is certified by the American Speech & Hearing Association and has practiced for over 30 years as a Clinical Audiologist and Hearing Aid Specialist. As an Army Reserve Soldier, Ms. Tolbert was called to active duty following the 9/11 tragedy and served five years as a military audiologist before returning to reserve status. She retired in 2012 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Ms. Tolbert joins Robert D. Craig, M.D. with a wealth of knowledge and experience in audiology and hearing aid service. She performs full diagnostic exams to identify the type and degree of hearing loss and makes recommendations as to whether or not amplification is the appropriate solution for each individual patient. State of the art hearing aid systems are provided to our patients if it is determined that there will be significant benefit in their communication needs. She dispenses and services hearing aids from several companies.
